Description

A well-rounded training programme aimed to empower participants with the expertise needed to navigate the current complex financial landscape and contribute to the integrity and success of their programmes and projects. It covers serious elements of financial misconduct which have been under EU scrutiny over recent years, namely conflict of interest, fraud and corruption, gaining practical knowledge and tools to safeguard against them. It also expands on double-funding, providing insights into identifying and mitigating risks associated with overlapping financial support.

Following a one-day study visit to several EU-funded projects around Gozo, the training seminar shifts its emphasis to eligibility matters – the main contributors to the 6% error rate reported lately by the ECA on high-risk expenditure.  The sessions aim at ensuring participants acquire a solid grasp of the standards governing project appraisal and approval, execution and cost management, before wrapping up with risk considerations.

This course is designed for practitioners working on programmes and projects funded by ERDF, Cohesion Fund, ESF+, EMFAF, EAFRD, AMIF, ISF and BMVI, and other similar shared management funds.
